The main aim of our journal is to popularize academic research on women’s writing, art, film, theatre, cultural history in both Poland and Russia as well as in other countries of Eastern and Central Europe. In addition to our journal you will find here information on seminars, conferences and publications on the topics mentioned above. This homepage was originally started as an information channel for our research project on Polish and Russian women's writing funded by the Emil Aaltonen Foundation in Finland (2007-2010). During the project we started publishing an annual Women's Writing Online journal at the website and now it has become the main purpose of this site.
